The Ayze vineyard
The Gringet grape variety, rare and intriguing, shapes the identity of the Ayze vineyard. Its origins remain uncertain: some link it to bishops returning from Cyprus in the 14th century, others to the Templars settled in Geneva. From this grape are born two wines: a sparkling wine crafted using the traditional method, with aromas of violet, white peach, jasmine, and lemon; and a still wine, distinguished by notes of white flowers and almond. Fresh and elegant, Ayze wine is ideal served as an aperitif or with dessert.
